Brazilian Customs Strike Update

Unfortunately Customs officer staff decided to resume the slowdown operation. The decision was a consequence of an April 18th meeting between the Customs officer union leaders and the federal government representatives.

Although there was an expectation that positive results would come out from this meeting, the union strongly rejected the salary adjustment proposed by the government.

Any further negotiation will be conducted as of Tuesday, April 22nd since Monday, April 21st is a national holiday in Brazil.
