FDA Prior Notice

Customs has issued an administrative message reminding the trade that full ABI edits for FDA Prior Notice will go into effect on May 13, 2004. For all in-bond types (61/IT or 62/T&E) the prior notice must be filed and accepted before authorization for movement is granted. All entries submitted through ABI not containing full prior notice data for tariff numbers coded with either an FD3 or FD4 will be rejected.
