In the midst of this dry, hot summer, the current and previous members of our company have helped John S. Connor, Inc. reach another important milestone. We celebrated 85 years in business as of August 13, 2002.

This is a remarkable achievement by any standards and all who have played a role in this should be proud and congratulated! Over the past decade, our industry has seen a number of companies fold and many have consolidated through acquisitions. This has really impacted our industry and how those remaining are positioning themselves for the future. We feel confident that John S. Connor, Inc. will continue to play an important role in the transportation arena.

Our company has continued to be a solid, stable, high service provider in our industry. The transportation industry continues to change and evolve in many ways. Over the last decade or so, the most visible aspect is the impact of technology. John S. Connor, Inc. has recognized the need to change and specifically the important role technology has and will play. We have added internet tracking, specialized website reports, EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) and receiving and sending documents via e-mail among others. We continually try to recognize and anticipate the needs of our customers. This is accomplished by our staff's understanding of customer's needs and taking the necessary action for results. We rely on this so we may maintain our strong regional reputation and global reach.

John S. Connor, Inc.'s history is a source of pride, its people our force and its service our strength. How many in our industry, let alone in the business world, can claim to be successful for 85 years?
