We are informing you there has been an official announcement of a National Truckers and Haulage STRIKE effective from Monday, December 10, 2007 through Friday, December 14, 2007.

On Sunday, December 9, 2007, the Italian Government is having a meeting with the union to try to avoid the strike and have it cancelled.

There is hope that an agreement may be reached between the two parties and the strike will be cancelled, but if not, Italy will be facing enormous difficulties next week.

The likely scenario is that all trucking activities will be completely paralyzed, with road blocks on major highways, and there will be no pickups, deliveries and normal services.

All container and rail traffic will be completely stopped as well due to the road blocks at port gates.
