John S. Connor, Inc. receives cargo shipper award from Southwest Airlines
Glen Burnie, Md. (1/25/06) – John S. Connor, Inc., a third-party logistics company headquartered in Glen Burnie, Maryland, has been selected as the Cargo Shipper of the Quarter by Southwest Airlines.

As a result of adding new customers, John S. Connor has substantially increased the amount of cargo it ships via Southwest Airlines out of BWI Airport. Joseph Mulholland, domestic airfreight manager at John S. Connor, stated, “Over the last year we have shipped over 220 thousand pounds of freight. In 2006 we will increase that amount significantly.”

“We have been using Southwest Airlines since they opened a hub at BWI Airport approximately 13 years ago,” Mulholland added. “An advantage of using Southwest is that they limit cargo to a maximum weight of 150 pounds for each item shipped. This assures prompt handling and movement of freight for our customers. We get an extremely high level of service from the employees at Southwest. They’re highly trained and very professional.”

Connor serves a diversified range of customers and handles airfreight for such items as machine parts, school text books and other printed materials, electronics and crane parts. The shipments include critical delivery times as well as 2nd-day air.
