The EU Regulation outlining 14% retaliatory tariffs on certain imported US goods is now being rescinded

The US Congress voted to repeal the FSC/ETI grandfathering benefits for sales contracts which were the EU's primary impetus for initiating the tariffs. The European Commission subsequently passed Regulation 728/2006 which suspends the additional customs duties until the US legislation is signed by President Bush (expected May 17, 2006).
